- First name, big. It’s the one line people actually scan mid-conversation — it earns the largest type on the badge.
- Company on the second line. The natural icebreaker at a professional event; a job title only if it’s short.
- Role as a colored chip — Speaker, Staff, VIP, Press. Color reads faster than text for your team and your security.
- Your event name and logo, so photos of the hallway track do your marketing for you.
- Optionally, a QR code — a vCard turns every introduction into a saved contact, no fumbling for phones.
What doesn’t belong: email addresses, long titles, sponsor logo walls. Every extra line shrinks the one line people actually need.

How long does it take to make 200 conference badges?
About five minutes: the time to import your list, pick a template and download the PDF. Headcount doesn’t change it — 20 or 2,000 badges take the same time.
Can I tell speakers apart from attendees?
Yes. If your file has a category column (Speaker, Staff, VIP, Press…), each badge automatically shows the matching colored chip.
Can the badges carry our conference branding?
Yes — every template takes your logo and brand color, and the event name appears on each badge. Attendees wear your conference, not a generic template.
What size should conference badges be?
A6 — 105 × 148 mm, about 4.1 × 5.8 inches — has become the conference standard: big enough to read a first name from a few steps away, and it fits standard A6 holders and lanyards. The one-badge-per-page PDF prints true to size on A4 or US Letter at “Actual size”.
What about last-minute registrations?
Regenerate the PDF with the updated list in a minute, or print the stragglers one at a time on the day — the one-badge-per-page layout is made for it. Keeping a few blank badges of the same design at the welcome desk covers true walk-ins.
Can you print and ship the badges?
If your conference is in France, yes: badges printed on rigid card, assembled with optional holders if selected, sorted alphabetically and delivered in 4–5 business days — on quote. Badge holders and lanyards are optional and itemized in your quote. Everywhere else, the free PDF is designed to hand straight to a local print shop.
