Most badge tools make you design one badge at a time. BonBadge works from the file you already have: paste your attendee list and every badge is generated at once — a high-resolution PDF ready for the print shop or the office printer, free and without an account.
Most online “badge generators” follow the same script: create an account, fill in badges one by one, then discover at the end that the export is watermarked — or behind a paywall. BonBadge takes the problem from the other side: your list already exists in a spreadsheet. Paste it, and badges for every attendee generate in one go.
Column detection recognizes names, companies, roles and categories even without a header row, the live preview shows your actual attendees — including the ones with long names — and the PDF comes out at print resolution, without a watermark: one A6 badge per page, or four to a sheet with crop marks.
One architectural detail that matters when the file is an attendee list: everything runs in your browser. The list is never uploaded anywhere — privacy isn’t a checkbox in our settings, it’s how the tool is built.
What “free” usually hides — and what it means here
Free badge makers tend to come with an asterisk. Sometimes it’s a watermark across every badge. Sometimes it’s a cap — ten badges, then a subscription. Sometimes the price is quieter: an account first, a newsletter, and your attendee list sitting on someone else’s server.
Here, free means the whole tool: every template, unlimited attendees, high-resolution PDF, no watermark, no account. The business model isn’t your data — it’s an optional printing service for events in France, quoted separately and easy to ignore if you just came for the PDF.
Built for real attendee lists, not demo data
Attendee lists are messy in predictable ways, and the generator is built around them:
- Long names don’t break the layout — the type scales down automatically, so “Alexandra Papadopoulos-Martinez” fits just as well as “Ann Lee”.
- First and last names in separate columns are recombined into a single name on the badge.
- A category column (Speaker, Staff, VIP, Press…) becomes a colored chip on each badge — check-in staff can tell who’s who at a glance.
- One-click A→Z sort, so the printed pile matches your check-in list instead of your signup order.
- Optional QR codes, per badge: a link (your event page, a feedback form) or a vCard so a scan saves the contact.

Is the badge generator really free?
Yes — every template, no watermark, no attendee limit, no account. There is nothing to unlock. The one paid thing we offer is optional: for events in France, we can print, assemble and deliver the finished badges, on quote. Badge holders and lanyards are optional and itemized in your quote.
What file formats can I import?
A straight copy-paste from Excel or Google Sheets works, and CSV files import directly — including exports from Eventbrite, Luma or any registration tool. English column headers (“First Name”, “Company”, “Ticket Type”…) are recognized automatically.
Can I customize the templates?
Yes: your logo, your brand color, the event name, and which fields appear (name, company, role, category). You can also add a QR code per badge — a link or a vCard. The preview updates live.
What size are the badges?
A6 — 105 × 148 mm, about 4.1 × 5.8 inches — the standard for conference lanyard badges. It reads from a distance and fits standard A6 badge holders. The one-badge-per-page PDF prints true to size on A4 and US Letter alike — just set the print scale to “Actual size”.
Does my attendee data get uploaded?
No. Import, preview and PDF generation all run inside your browser — nothing is sent to a server, nothing is stored on our side. Close the tab and there is nothing left.
